Tech Boundaries

Aimee and Chris were out to dinner, and Chris got on his phone to record an event in his schedule. Aimee was annoyed by this and brought it up in our next couples session. They made the decision not to use their phones when they were out with each other, e.g., at meals, the beach, etc.

This was a classic example of how technology can get in the way of relationships. Aimee and Chris created an agreement to mitigate the negative impact of technology. Creating boundaries around the use of technology is probably useful for most relationships. You want technology to enhance relationships, not impede them.
